The Modern oeksound soothe2 Alternative
Eliminate harshness, nasal vocal buildup, and acoustic resonances in real time without the $219 price tag or iLok dongles. Meet STILL Dynamic DeResonator.
STILL Dynamic DeResonator by Musicianstool is an industrial C++20 dynamic spectral harshness suppressor. It continuously tracks frequency-domain energy peaks across six critical acoustic bands (380 Hz to 8.5 kHz) and automatically applies surgical attenuation with zero live latency. Priced at $9.99 with offline Ed25519 licensing, it replaces legacy $219 tools while preserving vocal clarity and transients.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does STILL compare to oeksound soothe2?
STILL Dynamic DeResonator operates on the same core principle as soothe2: dynamic resonance suppression. It detects harsh ringing frequencies in real time and automatically applies surgical attenuation only when the resonance exceeds the threshold, preserving the natural tone and body of your source audio without phase smearing.
Do I need an iLok account or dongle to use STILL?
No! Unlike soothe2, which requires an iLok account and background license services, STILL is 100% DRM-free. You receive standalone .vst3 and .component (AU) binaries with an offline .zenlic cryptographic key that runs without any background daemons.
Can STILL be used in live monitoring or low-latency recording?
Yes. STILL utilizes sample-accurate recursive tracking filters designed for zero latency, making it suitable for live vocal tracking as well as final mix bus polish.
What is Delta Listen mode in STILL?
Delta Listen solos the exact harsh resonant frequencies being subtracted by the DSP engine. This lets you hear precisely what is being carved out of your vocals, guitars, or cymbals to ensure you never over-suppress musical harmonics.
